About the Business

The Rider's Closet was conceived of in early 2007. After seven years of selling equine items on eBay for her friends, owner Kelley LaFond decided to make the business more formal. She collected items for sale in the San Francisco Bay Area, created a traveling "shop," and brought the merchandise to a show in June. The response was so positive that The Rider's Closet appeared at many more shows throughout the season, accepting items for sale and offering exceptionally nice show clothes for fellow riders at huge discounts. With over 100 new accounts in its first season followed by a very successful 2008, TRC is looking forward to an even bigger year of sales in 2009. → About Owner Kelley LaFond
